Yup,
free screentones, that's what this account is about. In case you're a 'tard like me and can't find good tones on the 'net, or can't figure out how to download and use the ones you
can find.
(I tried to make it as simple as possible to save the tones I've posted... you'll either have to full-view them or hit "download" and then just save them like a normal image. And if it's not working, it's probably on your end.)

More details
Most of these tones are by
Deleter.
[link] (A couple are made by me, and you can use those however you want too. Although they're kind of crappy, and will be until I need to remake them for my own use.;;; ) They're royalty free, so you can use them in any way you want (including for commercial works) and not have to worry about copyright issues. You don't have to give credit, but if you found this account helpful, don't be shy to send your friends this way.
I've fixed the contrast on all of these in Photoshop, (to the best of my artistic judgment) so you don't have to worry about annoying scanner grayness.
As you can see, a few of the tones at the back of this gallery are just random scraps that I've scanned in. They may appear kind of wrinkly, but when you cut 'em out and apply them they look just fine, in my experience.
(It's better than nothing, right?)

Want to contribute?
If you've got some intact (or mostly intact) tones you want to share, please scan them at about 300-600dpi, (no smaller than 300, please

) email 'em to me at
screentone@gmail.com, and I'll upload them.

PS I may not be on this account for long periods of time, but whenever I buy a new tone, I'll be sure to post it as soon as I can.

UPDATE: (Jan 09) To use these screentones, (since a few people have asked) there are a few methods, but the simplest and most straight-forward that I know of is to cut and paste the tone into Photoshop (or your program of choice) and set the layer to "multiply" so you can see your line drawing underneath. (Other programs may have other ways of doing this.) Then you can select areas on the line drawing, (with the magic wand and other selection tools and the "inverse selection" tool,) go back to the screentone layer, and hit "delete".
And if that doesn't help you, look up tutorials, there are a lot of good ones here on deviantART!
